In Pico Iyer’s “Why We Travel,” p. 3, paragraph 2, line 5, there is the non-word "rsum" that starts the line.  That word should be "résumé."  Probably when it was uploaded to the internet, which is where I got it from, the two accented e’s didn’t transfer and got deleted.
