I see the theme of The Temptations Of Two to be that exploration alone or with others may help one person deeply find yourself.(evidence in P.160 and P.167). I love the author’s description of why she wants to stay alone, to avoid noisy and enjoy loneliness. Also the paragraph which depicts Emily and author lay in the grass, the abbreviated kiss, it reveals author’s complicated emotion, like her said, “fast and sweet.”.
